The Nimba mask from the Baga people of Guinea is their most important and sacred art form, representing the mother of fertility. This authentic and original mask is traditionally worn over the shoulder with raffia skirt covering the legs. Used at first fruit (rice) rituals for fertility of crops as well as a symbolic Female fertility used during birth dance ceremonies, marriages, and various harvest ceremonies.
